A Hessonite Garnet pendant with a Sterling Silver setting and satin finish back.
Hessonite, a variety of garnet, is prized for its orange or brownish red hues. It's sometimes nicknamed the "cinnamon stone" for this reason.
This stone was sourced Sri Lanka, which provides the best quality and most ethical stones. The price of the pendant reflects the relative rarity of the Hessonite, which is becoming increasingly difficult to purchase.
Etching involves printing a design on to a piece of solid silver and then using an acid bath to selectively remove silver. This results in intricate, textured designs on the surface of the jewellery.
Approximate dimensions: 35mm (h) x 35mm (w)
Hallmarked by the London Assay Office on the back. Supplied with an 18" (46cm) chain. Please add a note to the order if you'd like a different length chain.
Every item of jewellery is hand crafted with love, skill and care by Rachel. It has been meticulously hand-finished and polished.
