Hessonite Garnet Domed Pendant

This beautiful domed silver pendant has a delicate etched design and is set with a stunning Hessonite Garnet. It is worn on an 18" chain which is suspended from a hidden bale on the back which has a satin finish. 

Hessonite, a variety of garnet, is prized for its orange or brownish red hues. It's sometimes nicknamed the "cinnamon stone" for this reason.

Etching involves printing a design onto a piece of solid silver which produces a surface resist and then using an etching solution to selectively remove silver. This results in intricate, textured designs on the surface of the jewellery.

Hallmarked by the London Assay Office on the back. Supplied with an 18" (46cm) chain. Please add a note to the order if you'd like a different length chain.
